SunCan Dunhuang 10MW molten salt tower CSP plant got on to grid and started operation successfully on Dec.26, 2016. It isthe 1^st commercial molten salt power tower CSP plant which couldoperate 24 hours a day in Asia and the 3^rd in the world. It means alot to China CSP market, which is stepping into high-speed development thanksto supportive policies.

Invested and developed by Beijing ShouhangIHW Resources Saving Technology Co., Ltd (SunCan, its CSP co-company), the 10MWplant is the 1^st Phase project by SunCan, and started constructionin August 2014. With total investment of RMB 420 million, the project isequipped with 15 hours storage system, taking 5,800 tons of molten salt, over1,525 heliostats and 138.3m tower.

Together with the 1^st Phase of10MW plant, the 2^nd Phase of 100MW MS Tower plant broke ground inNovember 2015, and it has been selected as one of China 1^st stage 20CSP pilot projects, enjoying FiT of RMB1.15/kWh. And resources say the 3^rdPhase of 300MW has been planned and signed investment agreement with localgovernment.
