As one of China 1st batch 20 pilot CSP projects, Recently, Yumen Xinneng tower CSP project opened the bidding of molten salt earlier this week. The bidding includes: sodium nitrate/ nitrate of potash (6:4); sodium nitrate 9900 tons and potassium nitrate 6600 tons.

Two schemes:

Procurementscheme 1: Unmixed molten salt, sodium nitrate 9900 tons (Section 1), potassium nitrate6600 tons (Section 2).

Procurementscheme 2: Mixed molten salt (Section 3), sodium nitrate/ nitrate of potash(6:4), 16500 tons.

Another progress on the Yumen Xinneng 50MW CSP project: The project construction subcontractor, Anhui No.1 Electric Power Construction Co., Ltd announced that the base column pouring has been constructed on schedule. With the effort of all staff, the task has been finished on Nov, 14.

Yumen Xinneng 50MW molten salt tower CSP plant was officially selected as one of China 1st batch of CSP pilot projects in September 2016. With total investment of RMB 1.78 billion, the project is expected to be completed in 2 years. The project is located in Zhengjiashawo CSP Park, 5km far from new downtown of Yumen city, Gansu Province. The 50MW project takes beam-down CSP technology with 15 mirror field modules, and one 9-hour molten salt thermal storage system & steam turbine set. The annual generating capacity is under load of 4328 hours.

As the Owner’s Engineer, Parasol is responsible for the whole scheme design; XinChen CSP provides core components like heliostat, tower and receiver; Thvom offers EPC and conventional island construction services.
